I've made it to the cut twice, once from the south in a jeep, and once from the north in a 1974 VW Bus. That was an adventure!

Depending on the weather, if there's been rain, it can be pretty tricky to get down there without getting stuck.

 

I'd say I would go but I'd be stuck at the entrance lol

 

down by corpus i think, unless i am confused. aransass pass side. we did a bachelor party down there.

 

I'm not an expert on weather or conditions by far. Just know I want to do it.

I don't have a winch either so stuff like that might matter.

 

So it's just sand?

 

Simply put yes. 60 miles of it in whatever condition the good Lord decides to put it in that day.

Here's a map. The red circle is the cut. You can see how far of a run we'll have on the beach. The trip is different each time you go.

There's a big sign saying 4wd vehicles only right at the entrance.





Gotta watch the tides for entry and exit. Don't want this to happen.
