    If you like it, rock it.
    Personally its just way out there and looks off. Not only that you're adding an extra foot of leverage and a foot less clearance with them sticking out that far. My frame twists as it is and mine are tucked up as close as I possibly can.
    If you are looking for a steps and have sliders, you can always make a bolt on step that's easy to pull off when you actually hit the trails.
