I'd rather keep the titanium frame & go with the S35VN like my 550 at that price, but everyone is all melty over elmax...

I have a zt560 black blade and 561. I like the elmax steel, but not in love with it. Easier to sharpen than the S35 to me. Much easier than my D2 blades, but those stay sharp longer. I have seen the new ZT556 as low as $140 on ebay. Also they are assisted, but I'd rather just have a flipper.
    I have never held a 550 tho.

The ZT -0566 is $117 on gp knives with an account which is free. But then there is shipping.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
That thing is beautiful! I like the spear point Tanto and the rope/seatbelt notch. Looks classy as f*ck!

I'm waiting to get my Recon back. Having the blade "de-serrated" with a slight recurve. Those serrades took up 2/3 of the blade and every tooth was broken off.

Yea man I actually carry this to be honest... Sounds odd but for me If I'm gonna spend the money on something I'm damn sure gonna use it haha... But the nightmare grind is one of my favorite blades... As well as the spear point and Bowie... And thanks guys

    I'm the same way.

My knives get USED. Heavily. I buy knives that are utilitarian by design and quality made. People seem surprised when they see me carrying and using a benchmade at work, but poorly made/inexpensive knives either bend, break, or can't hold a working edge with the heavy use and abuse.

Hopefully this is good... Speaking of size... The only thing big about the blade is the handle... The cutting edge is 3.5 inches which is a standard SNG blade which is the perfect size.... You also get a big ass choil with this blade as well... This and my Tom mayo are my favorite knives... I have been recently looking into caring a fixed blade (unconcealed ) of course... But not sure just yet...

Yeah, pretty gaudy. And I can't buy a knife I don't intend on using.
I just can't believe the price people want for them. But on the other hand, Those are more works of art than tools.

    back to bone stock.
my MIL gave me some knives. old ones..,most are kinda useless. i didnt want to refuse for fear of being rude.

one is an older Kershaw..very 70's looking..like boom chaka bow wow..looking.

i bet it takes an edge tho. super heavy. one is total junk.

the last was an old swiss army knife. all the bits were there. i hit the blades a few times on my sharpener..and holy shit..i bet i could do surgery!! that stuff gets sharp!! i'll toss it in the truck, next to the old leatherman. (which also takes a wicked edge)

I got the MUT Leatherman AR15 utility knife for Christmas. It is by far my favorite knife so far and is going to come in handy this spring.

My new to me schrade LB7 Bearpaw, got it new in box with all paperwork. It is serialized and has four pins, which if my research is correct it is an older one. My dad carried one and I decided that I wanted one. I got the chance to buy this one and jumped on it
