yea im sure it'll happen. Then are sweet. I remember making c02 cars in my CAD class out of our 3d printer in high school. Was so fun.

they are loaded man. They bought ipads for EVERY student and teacher for HS and Middle school. students get to keep them all year and use them a ton in class. So much that the first tyear thy didi they had to overhaul their entire network cause they couldn't keep up with all the ipads haha

 

iPads are being used more and more in the classroom because it is so easy to do a textbook in digital format. eBooks will soon replace print textbooks. The transition has already begun. The iPad is the perfect vehicle.

 

haha yea, wyoming energy sector funds hard at work in Powell The school Jen teaches at in pavillion (240 population...) is like huge, brand new, has smart boards in every room on the elementary side!

 

Yea powell is loaded. Top paying district too in the state i think just saying haha

Idaho State University is starting to push really hard for this too. The part I find crazy is that about half of the books they are pushing really hard for e-version only on, they still want $200 for the e-book!

 

you can often rent e books though much easier for like 50 bucks. What they do here.

I still like real books better.

 

I found my problem.

 

From a publishers viewpoint, there should be very little retail price reduction simply because it is an ebook. If you think about it, it costs just as much to do the development side of the content of a book/ebook. The author still has to be paid their royalties too. The cost of printing on paper is a relatively small portion of delivering a book.

Yes, I understand this, but it seemed like when e-books 1st started showing up the whole benefit to them was being cheaper. If they cost the same price, why not buy the hard copy that I can either sell back or keep forever (since most e-books have a time limit on them).

 

My experience is with the Aviation training textbooks we sell. No use time limits on those but also no buy back options either.

Ebooks are just easier to handle. Put them all on your device, only have to carry around the device. Also, no trees have to die.

 

Anyone know a good place in Laramie to get a car wash. The cross country drive made my baby really dirty.

 

There's a self-serve car wash next to Frontier Cycles on Grand Ave (between 24th and 26th St). That's where I normally took mine. Nice to have it enclosed during winter months.
