Not too many people showing up nowadays. I think there's some guys doing a big bear run this weekend as well. For the most part, the local socal guys know each other....mostly know of each other.

What up taco lovers. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I need to replace my fan clutch, and was wondering if anyone has done it on theirs. I've been looking for a write up, but wasn't able to find one. Do I need to torque the bolts, need a special tool...?

 

Its gunna be a pain your gunna need a tool and also recomend torque bolts after. How much would a shop charge todo it have your ask

 

I was quoted 60 from a shop. I know it's not a lot, but I'm currently unemployed. So I'm just trying to save on the repair. But if it's that much trouble, I just might have to take it in.

Nice I'm starting to get into the automotive field at the momment I work at just tires as a general maintenance tech but I plan on staying here for a year get the some experience. I've been talking to few shops/dealers but I got some contacts for places willing to hire me once I get experience.

 

good luck!.its a good trade to get into. dealer ship will send you to there own schools to get dealer specific training. they teach you all there models and also give you a online training that you do at your own pace. you also get to work flat rate so if you work fast you can easily make over 8 hours of pay in less time then your actual 8hour work day. #1 thing is you have to have a clean driving record! they cant hire you if they cant insure you.

 

Gotcha and yeah I've been talking to a lot of people its hard especially in my area to get hired if you don't know anyone.
