It's a switch bracket from OTRATTW just like mine, except for 3.

Put a marine grade battery terminal on the positive post of my battery, but i need some wire and a ring connector for the negative post.
While i was doing that i noticed rust on my battery tie-down, so i pulled that, wire brushed it, then painted it with some rust-oleom gloss black paint.

And finally tonight i setup my torque app to read the trans temp and i got some interesting numbers.

I would be weary of torque. It will say the truck is at 230 when the temp gauge is dead center, then the gauge will say 190 and the truck will be running hot on the dash.

    Interesting
I'm half tempted to switch to the IOS equivalent of torque, but they don't have a free version to try.

Unfortunately no Trans temp. Which is the most important for our trucks...

Definitely worth it, even if it doesn't record trans temps.

Manuals don't have trans temp sensors do they?

Maybe eventually, but not right now.
I don't particularly care for the scanguages and ultraguages looks when they're mounted, a phone with a wireless dongle is much more discreet IMO.

Haha yeah... I never knew it was an issue in Tacomas until this Summer. Now that I know I'm all paranoid about it. I shouldn't have any issues out here in Missouri though. If it can handle over 100* temps going through R, 1, and 2 constantly in New Mexico. Then it can handle Missouri temps haha
    Nope, evidently not... Haha

    I like where mine is...

That's not bad there, except it blocks the O/D light (for me) which i have to see.
I also can't mount it up, because of height restrictions.

Yeah, hard to see that. I only ever turn overdrive off on very steep hills. Which we don't have out here. I can still see the orange reflect off the plastic window when it's off though.

what do you mean by height restrictions???

I woulda swore you had a manual trans

with my height i need as few things sticking down in front of the windshield as possible, i can't put the visor down unless i slouch or am in stop and go traffic.

Nope, always been an auto and always will be! Haha I don't mind manuals, but prefer not to have it on the trail.

Ahh, I'm the opposite. Can't even use the visor to block the sun most of the time...

From what I understand the stock sensor for the tranny, if you have one, is in the pan, which will not give you an accurate reading of the temp because it just went though the cooler. You want the sensor on the outlet of the tranny that way you will get the hottest temp.

I see torque and all those phone apps as more code readers. If a check engine comes up or something.
