G day just got a new 2014 base extended cab tacoma and didn't relize it only had 2 speed wipers. Looking on here i see lots of threads about earlier models but does anyone know if the 2013 varable speed stork will fit the 2014 tacoma?:D

Can't imagine it wouldn't. Most of the guys on here talked about buying a matrix one from a yard..it has two intermittent speeds and much cheaper.

Hard to believe that intermittent wipers are not stock in all vehicles, especially for 2014 models.

My '99 Tacoma also did not have it. But I was able to replace the stalk with a '99 model that had an intermittent wiper selection, and it worked like a charm. Funny thing, it turned out that the stalk apparently came from a 4runner, so my new stalk also has an intermittent wiper and washer selection for a non-existent rear window :D

Not sure if this is a direct bolt-on swap for the new Tacomas.

Its an easy instal if its the correct part only takes 10 minutes to fit. It's held in by a clip and two wiring looms plug into the back of it. I will know 4 sure at the end of the week when it arrives thank you

I just bought a 2014 Double Cab PreRunner and these wipers are the only thing I don't like about the truck. It seems goofy that Toyota give you fast, faster and warp wiper speeds with no option for delay at all.

This is my first Toyota and I love it so far.

Thanks for the info. Could you post the link where you bought the wiper control? I have the same situation with my truck.

Do you have to change the actual wiper motor also or just the switch on the steering column?

Just the switch, the motor is the same, the switch has everything you need its simple just remove the old one and plug in the new one. Works great. Sorry I took so long getting back to you I just got off work after a thirteen hout shift... There is a link somewhere on here showing how to fit the stork. Basically just remove the shroud 2 screws by memory. Let me know if you need any more info...

    cheers
