I do not mean to upset Chris or bad talk his LED headlight kit by saying this. I installed mine a few months back along with all his other LED lights/bulbs. I personally do not think they are brighter. Actually a little less. For example; when I flip the brights on I can hardly tell a difference. My son drive my truck the other night and told me the same thing. He had no clue that I already felt the same thing.

Chris, would you have any suggestions or ideas?

Again, by no means does this bad mouth his products. They are wonderful and he runs his business first class!

brighter than what stock or hids? They aren't brighter than hids but are way brighter than stock. If they don't look like it, then you might have your headlights pointed down or something.

Stock bulbs is what I had. I will take some pics or a video and see what you think.

Funny story..My headlamps are getting moisture in them so I ran it up to my dealer. Services maher looked at them and said that is because I installed HID lights and the extra heat was the culprit. I said really...that's interesting because they are LED which have very little heat compared to the stock bulbs. Man was he back pedaling!!!

Yea A) never trust the dealer....If I were you I'd just run another bead of silicone around the headlights to re-seal. and B) I know that changing bulbs in these headlights usually requires you to readjust the levels. Just switching from stock to HID to Sylviannas (or w/e they're called) I've adjusted a couple times. Heck, I just had to readjust the other day because i took some weight out of the back of the truck that had been there for a while and it tilted my lights down dramatically! So anytime your light output is not so bueno, check to make sure they are adjusted in and up correctly. Then check to make sure they are on. Or maybe do that first....

Turned on? That's some funny shit!!
Actually I did adjust them. I noticed on the LED's it is much more difficult to get them adjusted as they don't have such a focused beam like regular halogens. And yes, I do know what I am doing as I have been a factory Master Tech for Lexus 18 years.

Hey no worries, I didn't question your skills, I know sometimes the simplest crap eludes the smartest people, myself included. That's what this forum is for :).

Have you tried adjusting them inward some? So they focus more towards the center and the ambient light is your filler on the outsides?

Yea, I need to play around with them some more. I don't like how they did the adjusters on the Tacoma though. You have to turn the adjuster way more than usual to get them to hardly move. Not sure if you noticed it it not. In most vehicles one full turn and it moves them pretty good. It's all good on my end. I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. Just letting you know my exp level. Did you notice a big difference in yours?

Chris tries to get me to switch to LED headlights everytime we hang out hehe, but I'm personally waiting until I can get projectors. I know Harley Davidson released LED headlights like a year or two back and I've seen them around, and told Chris about it back then, but I guess the tech was just to new back then to try to sell. LED's are great and all, and I'll always run them, but HID just has so much more distance, short of running a 50" on the roof (someday)

Also, if i could get a quote on the interior dome light and map lights, license plate lights, back-up lights and fog lights.

Simply take out the old ones and put in the new ones. No different than the stick bulbs in regards to swapping.

I went and pulled it out of my 2012 Tacoma real fast for a couple of pics. The connector is the same as the stock bulb and locks in like normal.

Here is the LED fog light next to the stock bulb. Don't lose that orange rubber seal, it likes to come out with the bulb. I missed it the first time I installed them.

Thanks y'all! That is about 47 times easier than installing the HID fogs I had in my 2011.

Do they make an LED headlight this easy?
