    Lots.
Yea that is the only thing that makes sense because you are freeing up more of the exhaust. But are LT worth the extra $145 or the gain minimal?

I think so. I know if I bought the shorties, I would always wonder how the long tubes would have been. Talk to Gadget on customtacos.com. He has sold many and has had both on his truck.

What you're looking at is power to the wheels. What you remember seeing is rated power, usually taken at the flywheel.
There's a ton of loss between the flywheel and the ground.

Im in NC, they never did a sniffer test on mine, just hooked up to OBDII port, and all was good.

You would need an O2 simulator that should have been part of the package from URD. If you ever get an X-I in the future, it will eliminate the need for the O2 sim by using the proper MAP.

    LOL....

Yup, URD knows there stuff. I tell you what, when I switched from JBA's and URD Y-pipe : to DTLT's and URD Y-pipe; I could barely feel the low end lost, but definately felt the increase above 3000ish rpm.:D

What exactly is the X1? And would I need it with DTLT headers, CAI and DT exhaust only?

You will definately need the O2sim to eliminate the CEL code that will be thrown due to removing the front cats when installing the Long Tubes.

APR X-1: is a piggyback ECU powertrain management system

    http://www.aprpower.com/ECU_mainpage.html

    Pricey but worth it.

You can how ever order the URD MAF Calibrator:

    http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.php?cPath=66_72&products_id=1230100028

this will help adjust your AFR.

Only the O2 sim is a must. The APR and MAF Cali or suggestions for optimum performance down the line. Read up the links. Do a search on TW, CT, and XRU. Lots of good feedback on both products. All depends on your budget.

Yea Gadget sent the URD o2 sensor and new gaskets with the headers. I will look into the links. Good info, thanks.

I have read that the pipe bomb causes that raspy noise. You would have to trial and error with a few different mufflers to try and help.

Yeah, this is beyond comprehension... Doug Thorley makes an awesome set of Headers. WTF happened to the R&D with the Pipebomb:eek:...

I believe that it's the reduction of all 4 Cats. 2 much turbulance in the pipes caused be the lack of back pressure:confused:

But when I put on my stock Y, w/cats removed; even w/shitty welding it sounds 50% better than the Pipebomb.

If I had the stock cats in there, and solid welds, I would be all set:mad:

Oh well. Learning the hard way.

roxspin72, do you have the URD MAF or URD AFR sensors? I am thinking about ordering the MAF sensor tommorow morning from URD. With the CAI, new headers and exhausts with cats removed, I think it would help a bit to fine tune the air fuel ratio with my new setup. Which will be here next Tuesday!! :D:D

I thought the urd y pipe made it raspy and the dt pipe bomb was supposed to correct this............WTF:confused:

I wish it did. Here is dyno chart with a 4.0L Tacoma with DTLT headers and DT exhaust. It is a little different than the FJ chart above:

Would these be considered tuned headers?

Can anyone help me read that dyno chart. What is the bottom set of lines compared to the top?

Not with my setup. I've heard of members w/the JBA shorties and Pipebomb, and had no complaints. Like I said hit and miss. In my true and honest opinion, opening up your exhaust by removing all 4 Cats might free up some HP, especially for the F/I folks; but with the sacrifice of an anoying exhaust note:mad:

I have gutted cats on the stock Y-pipe now, and it sound better than my set up did before. Good enough for now til I can afford High Flow Cats...
