OME885 Fronts - How much lift?

    Hi -

    How much of a lift would I see with a set of OME's 885s up front? My buddy with an FJ wasn't happy with his (he went to 886) and is willing to give them to me in return for every episode of Top Gear.

    What should I do with the rear to even things out?

    You should see around 3 inchs with the top plate spacer. Although your is a longbed, 886's might be the way to go. But if 1/4" of an inch doesn't bother, I would say go for it! Oh and if you plan on adding any weight to the front like an aftermarket bumper or wench, go with the 886's for sure.

    You should get about 2.5 to 3" with the springs.

    I dump the wenches, personally.

    I wasn't planning on anything heavy up front like an ARB and Warn combo. I don't need to bash over rocks, I just deal with a lot of mountain roads where the name "road" is very generous.

    If someone were to put OME 885 on a stock shock or 5100 at stock setting, (no spacer on top of shock) how much lift would that person get?
