So I had my ToyTec coilovers raised a little over an inch the other day, and now my stock UCAs are hitting them constantly. Anybody else had this problem, and is there a solution other than buying aftermarket UCAs?

Lower the coils a little over an inch

    Haha so funny. Obviously.

Is there a solution that doesn't involve lowering or aftermarket UCAs?

Just get aftermarket UCAs and you will never have the problem again.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
your info says ultimate lift kit w/ ready lift spacers...you're running spacers on top of your toytec COs, then cranking them down?

Yes, the solution to the problem is to lower the springs about an inch...or get new upper control arms. Also, don't stack lifts.

Yes that's correct. But the coils were set pretty low. They were at the bottom of the thread, so I would say maybe .5 in.

Take the spacers out and use the coilovers for what they are intended for, lifting the truck. You should get 3 inches from the coilovers. With that, you will probably need new UCAs unless you don't mind your alignment being off and feeling the truck wander. UCAs won't be required, but probably needed.

you are trying to push too much lift via the COs (to include the extended length b/c of the spacers). are you 4wd or prerunner? if 4wd, i'd hate to see your CV angles. if prerunner, get the spindles for 3.5-4" of lift.

To be honest, the CVs don't look bad, but the UCAs are horrible. Is there anyway I can achieve this level of lift with no problems?

taller spindles. no idea what the aftermarket is like for them.

    Otherwise, no.

Icon UCAs did a good job of solving my lift geometry problems but I have a 1st gen.

I'm 4WD, so no spindles for me.

I wasn't until I raised the coils a small amount. But even if I take off the spacers and raise the coils even more, I don't think I'll achieve the level of height I want without maxing out my shocks. Am I wrong?

the only reasonable way to get more than 3" of suspension lift w/ a 4wd is to go drop bracket. there are 4.5" and 6" options. you've maxed out what you can do with COs alone. there's a reason people say to not stack lifts.

Drop the stacked lift and for god sake get some UCAs....your truck must ride like crap. I know mine did before the UCAs. If you want more ground clearance get bigger tires new gears and start cutting. If you want MOOR lift visit rough country's website I'm sure they have products right up your ally!
