Am I only one that see's that the threaded end of the arm is sheared off? You put 2000lbs in the back of a taco on stock leafs? what did you think was going to happen?

we don't know how he loaded it, but the easy way is to open the tailgate and start loading, most of the load probably was towards the rear of the bed (for easier access when unloading), thus the Kapow...I have carried heavy loads in mine, always load towards the front, works just fine that way, but a little harder to unload...

So basically all that weight compressed the bump stop further than the length of the shock body, it cracked the threaded part of the shaft since it's the weakest, then finally yesterday it sheared from another quick long compression like a pothole, and shot it through the frame. Reckless.

It would've occured regardless of how the OP would have stacked it. 2000lbs on a truck rated for around 1100lbs EMPTY, hitting bumps, end result is this. Moot irrevalent point but not much to stack in front of an axle on the OP's shortbed.

Well, with a tool box in the back and it been a short bed, there is not much room to stack the bags of cement mix further to the front of the bed.
