I sat under the pipe and listened and apparently when you shake the y pipe it also makes some kind of rattle.

 

Did you ensure all the bolts are tight on it? It's pretty unusual for a cat to just start rattling. If the material comes loose in it, it usually just blows out into the muffler or out the exhaust. Mine was rattling too, because all the bolts were missing/loose on it.

 

Yeah but I have never removed the y and a cat is welded into place. Its pretty tight every where, only reason it moves is because the hangers are rubber, so that would just always kind of move.

 

Hahaha, rattling? You didnt ride in my truck did you? Seriously though it could be a CAT but you would have a power loss if its clogged. Check mounting like others said

I dont think there is one single thing on my truck that doesnt rattle. Tell your friends they are a bunch of fucktarded pansies and they can drive their shitty prius next time instead of your bad ass taco. That rattle is all the excess BADASSPOWER fighting its way out of your truck so it doesnt explode from being so bad ass.

Runs pretty rich in the morning, but thats like all cars I guess. Even during a mid day, it kind of smells like gas in my drive way.

Did you lube the muffler bearing? That could be the issue....
