Had some scrap angle iron today from other projects and decided to build a cheap bed bar
to mount a cb antenna when I get one and possible move my cheap lights onto as cargo
lights or buy more. :spy: its not done because i had a flight to catch but here is the basic setup.

Ahhh I see what you're doing! Yeah that'll still be cool. I'm gonna buy a flood light to mount on the back of my truck and wire it with a relay to the reverse lights so everything is automatic. But that's more of a project when it warms up. Whenever I pull my truck into the garage right now the snow melts and mixes with the sand/salt from the roads and drips onto whoever's working on it. So anything under my truck is gonna have to wait :p

Btw, ground the paint on both sides where you bolt that bar to your body so that the bar acts as a good ground for your lights, if that's how you choose to wire them :)

Its cheap others wise I have other ideas  but it'll work good for now. I'm still not sure if I'm gonna make them auto or wire them to a switch or both haha if i make it a switch I'll probably ground them to the bar. You see here it doesn't really freeze...

Lucky! It snows here all the damn time :frusty: Oh well, what can ya do. Haha

Personally, I would wire them to the reverse lights so they come on automatically. But, I also don't ever really find myself needing rear lights on my truck unless I'm backing up.

If you ever needed them on you could always just throw it in reverse with your truck NOT running and put your parking brake on. That reminds me, I still need to fix mine :anonymous:

hahah Its freakin hot in the summer though  And thats a good point I might just wire them to the reverse it would make everything easier. I do dump runs with mine at night and always try and use a flash light to light it up so I kinda want it for that.

Digging the bed bar! I'm really wanting to find a way to mount some stuff to my toolbox.

How? I can't weld to the aluminum and I don't want to drill holes.

I didn't realise it was aluminum. Maybe do a bar like mine till you can get a person to weld on it? Idk haha

So this kinda has to deal with the truck. I was coming out of school and found that a
person in a mustang and another car blocked me and my friend in and decided that it
would be oh so nice of them to park it and leave it there while they went into the school
I was lucky enough to just pop the curb and drive through the grass pissing my principle off :D
While my friend was stuck waiting. Tacomas FTW!

Can't see the principle being more mad at you than the guy in the Mustang.
