Hey everyone. After 2 hours yesterday at the dealership. I finally am happy to say my SC is now running like an animal. They tried to tell me again that nothing was wrong with it. So I told them I would like someone to take a laptop and take a test drive with me so I could show them. Although hesitant at first they agreed and I showed them and they were puzzled just as I was. So we went back to the dealership and they ran some more tests. This time they came back and told me the issue is my lines are losing pressure. Whatever that means. Said there was a slow leak in one of the hoses. I told them I check the hoses and they were snug. They went on that they are snug, but there could be a crack somewhere. So they replaced all the hoses to be sure, and low and behold it fixed it.

I want to thank everyone who was willing to lend a hand on this site. I have been to many vehicle sites. And this one is by far the best out there. Now... Who wants to race. Haha. Thanks again.

Thanks for all your help man. But when I told him to do that he looked at me like "how the hell do you know about that". Anyway, lots of power now.

One small bit of info to share with everyone. The tech working on my truck mentioned something about how others with a 2013 tacoma and the SC have mentioned issues with the shifting. He told me that Toyota is currently investigating it. Not sure how true or not that is. With that being said, we were unable to fix that on mine cause I couldn't duplicate it while on the test drive. But he did tell me to bring it back if it continues. And that maybe the hose fix will fix that as well.

im going to guess that applying such a high load with out actually accelerating kept the trans from up shifting. now that power is restored i dont see why that problem would come up again.

congrats for the sc fix! now its time to mod it

Lol, Kodak moment when u asked him that.

Another kodak moment once u actually felt the blower operating at 100%

Keep an eye on the trans temp via scangauge, keep an eye on afr with a wideband, keep an eye on the boost pressure via boost gauge, look into valve body upgrade via IPT transmissions, and keep an eye on all other gauges too.

Periodically check the coolant level in the little black resivoir mounted on the inner fender... It takes the Toyota super long life coolant just like our radiators

Sorry phone browser is acting up....

Also periodically check the clamps on the hoses leading to that lil black resivour for leaks... Just touch the hoses where they meet the rest and the hose clamps for any moisture from leaking coolant. Its been known to happen. I've been lucky but others have seen small leaks.

Keep me posted on future mods and always feel free to PM me.

Do you have a link where I can get some of those gauges? I'm guessing it's a good thing to have when having a SC?

it all depends on personal taste when it comes to brand of gauges, but i swear by PLX devices. URDs website has them, as well as many other options such as innovative and AEM.

my setup consist of the SM-AFR and SM-OBD modules reading out of the DM-100 touch. thats about $400 or so. for the boost gauge i scored a TRD gauge from the older tacomas (now discontinued).

    Mine's a leaker :(

I am going to replace all of my vacuum lines as well. I'm still convinced that they are not all snug as they could be. Might go silicone on them even.

I have the AEM AFR and Boost gauges. I am happy with them. They provide good information.

Scangauge can crack 1 sensor from I think 2009 and older and 2 sensors from 2010 and newer.
I only get 1 reading on mine but not sure if its pan or converter temp.

I swear when I had a tech ride along diagnosing a possible trans problem, he had his laptop and techstream plugged into my obd2 port he said he was watching 2 trans temp readouts. Maybe I'm wrong and he could only see 1 on my truck.

Dont have the ug anymore.... Using Scangauge so I can watch trans temps.
If the ug read them, I'd happily buy another. I miss having soo many parameters on each page!

I dont try, I just drive normal for me.
