Its easy to outpace his shots...just not quite legal with full auto. Is he running a double trigger like somebody posted up a page or 2 ago for AR?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
if he is, he was only one fingering the trigger itself.

Just found some 22 ammo here FINALLY in our local sports store.

Remington 525 count pack for $24.99. Finally back to regular price!

And we are getting our Gander Mtn back finally after it flooded years ago and they pulled out. Apparently they can't get out of the 15 year contract and might as well put the store back in to pay the rent.

Anyways on another note, I was shooting my grandpas old .22. It's a Ithaca Gun Co X5 Lightning. I wanted to change the scope on it and decided to look up the old scope on it for hahas. It's a Weatherby Mark XXII 4x50. 4x28 Made in Japan. It's in fairly good condition and I guess people must be buying them when restoring Weatherby 22s or trying to get them for models without a scope to make it a complete gun.

They are going for anywhere between $200 and $400. I put on a cheapo walmart Bushnell just because it is bigger and was only $30. My other 22 only has a BB gun scope on it and I can hit what I want even a 2 foot tall barrel at 200 yards. I just have to aim 4-5 feet high :D

Can anyone recommend a good flashlight for glocks? I don't want anything expensive or too extreme. Just something that will let me look around the house if I hear a noise instead of having flashlight in one hand and gun in the other. Also, something that may blind an intruder.

On-gun? Streamlight TLR-1 would be $100 or so and is a great light.

    Streamlight TLR-1

Less than $100 and won't blind yourself if you're desire is to use it in the dead of night to clear your house. Lots of people make the mistake of buying an X300 or similar for home duty but none of them have tested them to see just how bright 300 lumens is in the dead of night. As a test, put your light on your nightstand and set your alarm for 3:00am. Then, the second it goes up, sit up grab your light and shine it down the hallway. Most people are amazed how bright even a 100 lumen light is when your eyes aren't adjusted at night.

Get the TLR-1 HL. Its the "high lumen" model amd comes with the strobe feature. Its only about $15-20 more than the standard TLR-1 and the TLR-1S. Over 600 lumens with strobe and its amazing! Its way brighter then the standard one but its really useful in the house at night. Ill post a few pics of mine in a little bit

Over 600 lumens is not perfect for around the house at night.

    Works for me :notsure:

I know what your saying about blinding yourself. It's definitely too bright if i walk into a room with a large mirror but i think any light would suck with mirrors. I also don't have white walls in my house so the non glossy tan walls help keep reflection down too. I use mine primarily outdoor thats why i got the HL, but if its for strictly indoor home defense use then id probably go with the TLR-1S so you get the strobe feature but the lower lumen output.

Here is one more shot in the holster... adds alot of bulk but it works for me

Gunna third the regular TLR-1. I have one for my Glock with a kydex holster to carry if I want and I have one mounted on my 590A1. Its more then adequate for around the house stuff. You can buy them new for around $100 or save a few $$ and pick one up used for anywhere from $50 to $90. Skip the strobe and high lumen model.

Just curious why you guys recommend to skip the strobe? You can get the lower lumen tlr1 with strobe for about the same price. I understand why you don't want it as bright for in home defense but if that is the weapons primary purpose then a strobe would would be important i would think. The whole point of the strobe is to disorient and blind someone. If you getting a lower lumen light for purposes of not blinding yourself then a strobe is just an extra tool you have to be 1 step ahead of your target. Doesnt mean you ever have to use it. But for a $10 dollar difference why not have the option available? The tlr-1S gives the same battery life and lumen output as the tlr-1 just adds an extra option. Looks and feels exactly the same even, its only different on the inside

Just not a fan of them myself. I have a Fenix (pd20?) that has a strobe feature, and for me it's never been useful. I get the idea behind, and if it works for you great! I just like it simpler I guess.

Makes sense. I think the intended use of the light makes a huge difference as well in deciding what features are important. I suppose thats why they make so many options to choose from.
