The GA Dome (the GA half, anyway) blew up when he did that to Murray. That was definitely the best football game I've ever been to, and one of my favorite football games I've ever seen....even though we lost.

The exaggerated strangulation motion combined with the arrogance of his interview rubbed millions of people the wrong, they viewed it as being a poor winner, which it truly was displayed as such. His story, his past, education etc people don't care about that. I don't care about it, especially when your quoted tweets are rank with bad grammar.

 

Hmm, I would agree that we want people to succeed but if you can't see that America isn't comfortable with a Black man in dreadlocks from Compton being more intelligent than them and succeeding more than them ... you're living in a different America than me.

Want and comfortable with are very different things.

I doubt people looked at Sherman and thought wow, I'm not comfortable with this guy yelling at me on TV because he's got a higher IQ than I, a better education, and is more intelligent than I. You think the greater portion of Americans knows those things? Or do they look at that action and think, hmm another arrogant football player.

This has nothing to do with him being intelligent and black.

 

100% agree. I could have had my eyes closed or not even looking at the TV and I would have said that person sounded like an idiot. If you think its not even possible for someone to be comfortable with an african american being more intelligent and making more money then its you that has racial issues. Some may have issues but to say everyone does just shows how blind you are

 

Race played a part in the reaction for some people no doubt about it. He was labeled a thug instantly and people also attacked him using the N word. That is what I am talking about.

If it didn't for you, great, but it absolutely did for a lot of other people. All you have to do is read the tweets man.

They called him a thug because he is black. Do you actually deny that? What in his actual words spoken deserve that?

This I agree with, but to generalize and say all of america has a race issue just means you do yourself. I do not have race issues and did not base my opinion about his comments on his dreadlocks, his hometown, or his education. You even provide links showing that people are on his side, how is all of america racist? Just because some thought he was a thug does not mean all, first rule of logics

 

Dude, all this shit you're bringing up is after the fact...not before. Even if it was before and he acted like that, people woulda lost respect.

Don't put words in my mouth that weren't there. I did not call all of America racist, I never even used the word racist or race until I was responding to being accused of using racial profiling. I said Americans aren't comfortable.

Too blanketing, maybe .. but I'll stand by it as I think calling America racist and saying people aren't comfortable with something are very very different things.
