Get that DD installed ASAP, it's very effective and will allow for more spring options.

 

When it warms up a little I'll try again. My electric impact wouldn't budge the bolts. Going to need to find somewhere with a real impact to get them off

 

Which electric impact do you have (just curious).

I've never had good luck with electric impacts.
Can't get at the bolts with a breaker bar?

Damn, that sucks to hear. That's the one I have. So far I've had good luck with it but have only really used it for tire rotations. I do have a 4' breaker bar for those stubborn bolts though

 

I could but didn't want to crank on them too much since it was so cold out. I didn't want to shear one and be SOL. It works for the majority of things, but you can tell it just doesn't have the power that a pneumatic one has.

When I was doing my lift the electric wouldn't break the lower front shock bolt free, nor would my breaker bar.but Dave's pneumatic impact zipped it right off no problem

 

The breaker bar I have a 2" but once you slide the highlift handle over it you get extra leverage.

I still don't like to crank on stuff with s breaker bar though. I'm always worried I'll shear a bolt. I need to invest in a compressor

 

Skip the Diff drop and just order the new springs. Diff drops are a band aid for to much. Im not a huge fan of the whole idea myself, I just think as close to stock as you can come is best. There is nothing worse than having to drill out really important bolts praying you don't dick up the threads.
