    Weekend's cooking:

Summer squash - cut in slices, marinade and grill. So much better than just cooking it in a pot of water.:)
    Bradenton-20140112-00496.jpg

Grilled Salmon: I also grilled broccoli, but did not take a picture of that.
    Bradenton-20140119-00531.jpg

Grilled squash, broccoli, with cheese and salmon.
    Bradenton-20140119-00532.jpg

Leftover salmon went on my wife's salad for lunch.

I made this chuck roast in the oven yesterday. I am having leftovers for lunch today!

I like to add sliced onions to the salmon with lemon then coat it with mayonnaise before grilling. Comes out really nice.

Cooking tip: Do not add wine to a hot pan that already has olive oil on it

I simply cannot comprehend people that won't eat leftovers.

If you cooked it, and it is left over, it should be food you like. Otherwise, WHY MAKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

More food that you like is a GOOD thing. Now, if you don't cook and have to take what someone else chooses for you, well...some day you'll be old enough to live on your own and cook.

If you take aluminum foil and make a tightly closed packet or envelope out of it, you can put the fish inside it. Try things like lemon, dill, capers, white wine, tomato slices, very thin sliced onions, a very small amount of oil as well to make sure the fish doesn't stick to the foil. The fish will essentially cook in all those juices. This works with white fish in particular. (Flounder, tilapia, etc)

Also you don't need to grill out on high. You can put it on a part of the grill that doesn't have raging heat.

Yep. Awesome, not anywhere near well enough known.

Excellent in the rotation of 'weekly dinners' in place of something you shouldn't have so much of...italian sausage and red-meat steaks in my case.

Add in sardines in cans for snacks and my doctor is a happier man. Love that omega-3!
