I picked up a set of more aggressive pads and good rotors. After multiple close calls and finally rear-ending some twit, I figures it's about time I get serious about my brakes. I've gone through 3 brake setups on my Impreza over the years, each using Hawk brake pads. I'm more familiar with the HPS line, but I wanted to try something new with the similarly-specd LTS pads.

how did you hook these up? i'm looking at them now, some say you tap into the existing welcome light, which i don't have. plus, I'm curious if they will turn on when i open the door as my interior lights do not turn on when i do open them

I gotta admit I am a tech junkie, and I love these things. They look really cool. There is a seller who even has the "TRD" ones as well. I would love to get one that says Tacoma with the Toyota logo, and have it project onto the back of the cab! That would look sick at night.

It depends on the year model of your truck. Some trucks have a basic door jamb switch. Others use the door latch switch.

Depending on the year and options, you may have a switch that looks like a button, located on the door jamb. This is used to signal the interior lights to come on. It is a simple ground switch. Newer trucks, and those with power door lock options typically have a signal switch located in the door lock/latch itself that sends a signal to turn on the interior lights.
