Definitely not extreme, and you told them up front. If they didn't think it was suitable they shouldn't have sold you the warranty. Is there anything in the warranty about commercial use? I travel similar roads 30kms each way to get to where I work, and in the winter it's smooth n icy and the summer after a rain fall it's pretty rough. Pretty sure my suspension is feeling it now, I'm planning on OME front and rears with the dakars in the spring. I would really like to get some icons but I think the price will be too much, but I'll look into it anyways.

Was in today, pictures taken, and was assured by the service manager and salesman that I have nothing to be worried about. Toyota just wants to see pics to ensure that it hasn't been "excessively modified".

    We'll see...

Rougly 500KM a week on logging roads is huge! I'm from BC and most trucks driving that much on logging roads would be almost dead by the time they got to the mileage you have on your Tacoma.

Any updates? Curious to hear about your experience since I'm specifically looking at a taco because of the extended warranty and amount of use i could get out of one.

No calls from Toyota yet. The service manager said that they might call. I told him to warn them to not try and be cute over the phone, lest they get a blast of crap. I use it exactly like is portrayed on the front of the brochure...

What's interesting about it all is that you seem to be a very responsible owner and you're probably not the majority of warranty claims they get. I can see why they'd be skeptical and think that you have it lifted on 33s and are busting seals and differentials left and right. I hope the service manager is right, you've got to be good with this one.

So far, so good. No hassles.

    89K--TMPS sensor/valve replaced, warranty.
89K--2 spring assemblies and driver's side seatbelt replaced, warranty.

A bit of a hiss coming from under the hood, suspect drive belt. I'll get it checked out in a couple of weeks when the forestry business comes to the yearly Spring break.

what pisses me off about the composite bed is the fact that there are not any fuel economy benefits. 14-18 out of a 2011 MANUAL trans 6 cylinder, C'mon with numbers like that this thing should be hardened steel. Just my opinion, but dammit toyota.

91.5K Left front shock. Warranty. (Toyota is starting to bitch at the excessive repair costs--I told the Service manager to talk to the used car manager, and if they made it worth my while, I'd slide into a new one--stay tuned).

Breaking news! They made it worth my while. I just got back from the dealership, and signed over my truck on trade on a shiny new DCLB TRD Sport. White, of course...

We'll see how this one fares...

My 2011 had 74,000 when I traded it. Never had a single part replaced and no problems. Hunted out of it for 3 seasons. Only traded to get a 4wd

Working a truck in the woods, and using it as a time machine half the time takes its toll. :)

Domestic trucks that do what mine does are forever broke down too...
