What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Started out as just going to paint the grill due to chrome bubbling but after starting just couldn't stop. Did the grill, bumper, and the BHLM.

 

do they stick out far enough so that a car that opens their door next to you would donk into the slider before the door of your truck?

 

Oh yeah! As long as the vehicle is shorter than you it should hit the slider before it hits your door.

 

Probably not the back door of a sedan tho.

Installed an App Radio 3.. Anyone looking for a 2013 non jbl/entune head unit?

 

Probably not, unless the offending car was low. The kick-outs may stop most cars but if you think about it: They clear the Tacoma doors so any door higher than the Tacoma door will go right over them.

 

Replaced the passender side wiper, I am amazed it lasted a year. The drivers side is still kicking but and taking names.

Also added an air freshner...I hate it

 

Just lift the taco some more there aren't a lot of cars around here that wouldn't hit my sliders before they hit my doors

Got them at etrailer.com have a $50 rebate right now, and made huge difference on the road when loaded. Leveled it out by putting 35lbs on the gas tank side (driver). Doesn't bottom out with all the gear and the 3 bikes hanging off the back.

Easy to install.

If I was getting brown water out (the way you describe) the next time I would gently heat the u-joints cups with a propane torch until all the water stopped sizzling out. Then I let them cool a little and then pump them full of a waterproof grease to keep the water out.

Are you sure you're not using a soap-based grease?
