I might say late sept and be the optimist....

 

Last communication I had was he needed a delivery code that I provided 3 minutes later. He stopped emailing after I asked for a picture tho. I hope I get the right stuff.

 

Finding small amounts of steel around here is fucking ridiculous! Found a shop that was willing to sell me what I needed to fix my tire carrier for 40 bucks but then said he would just do it for 50 out the door. When I asked why it was only 10 bucks more for him to do all that welding he said it's not. Basically it's 50 bucks for him to do it with his own scrap since he already owns the metal and was only charging so much for the metal I needed because he didn't get any work out of if... WTF is wrong with the world. Needless to say I am having him do it to end my search. Good news is he is using 2" DOM and 1/4 plate when I was looking for 1.75 and 3/16 so that's cool. Rant over!

Question for you guys with aux fuse panels

I see a lot of setups that have relays everywhere, isn't the point of the fuse box to eliminate the need for all the relays? Also how big a piece of steel should I get to hold the box and breaker.

 

Point of the relays is to bypass the large current flow around your switch.

 

You still need something to protect the run to the battery. As for the steel, as long as it will hold the weight of the box....I used 10ga

 

I must be missing something. I thought that was what the fuse box was for
