    Oh, I meant just the trailer, I think he wants $1800 which is understandable but I can make one for cheaper. Yeah that is a decent price for everything.

    Like I said, I have a price breakdown of EVERYTHING including several options with suspension from bad ass (what I have...fox shocks with jeep springs and homemade shackles and bumps) to utter basic (cheap 3500lb trailer leafs). The simplest configuration base cost with no frills except for trailer brakes and the cheapest suspension would have been $1900 not including wheels/tires. Can shave about $150-200 by not doing brakes...but that's a bad choice IMO.

    Not trying to say you can't build one for less, but most people don't realize there's a lot of little shit that adds up to a lot. Wiring, lights, junction box, break away kit, fenders, spindles, paint, plus the myriad of home depot shit like nuts, bolts, washers, rubber grommets.....the list goes on.

    I hear ya, shit does tend to get expensive . I haven't really looked into it as to parts etc but most of the steel i would use I can get for cheap or free, we tend to have a bunch of tube laying around the shop. If you can i'd be interested to take a look at the list. I wouldn't be doing anything crazy like yours, just something simple to haul camping gear as my dogs tend to take up most of the bed.
