    Yeah there is a guy locally with DJM arms already done the way you stated but he won't give em up only guy I know with em haha

    Shit yeah I figured wouldn't be strong dayum

    Yeah, pm me because I know heiming it will be easy and there should be roughly an inch of adjustment depending on the heims you get. heims should be roughly 40-50 bucks per pair. but after stripping and repowdering I will be in them again for 200 bucks. Might as well by these hot road arms.

    found this on a misc search. I'm hoping that since I'm getting mono ball joints, I won't have to deal with the angle as much. But there are angles ball joint collars (not sure if they are sold assembled with a degree or you have to make your own :( ).

    Collars also come in different angles and R/LH threads, Some your can use the press in, some your screw in, etc. but your mainly looking for a K772 upper ball joint.

    Links bad but that collar is at an angle. That option isn available to order on line like that though. That would fix everything. Be nice if you could get a grease able BJ for these.

    search ball joint. should come up .. a bunch actually should. But you can get grease able bj's. Some are bottom like cheap, and some are top quality. QA1, Howe, ALL Star, etc. make some, but they ARE pricey. When I was doing a little research on the dust boot, I found one about the Howe bj's. You can rebuild them, and from the way the installer described it, they were like butter. :confused: lol

    The reason I chose to use the mono ball is due to the angle, usage of dust boot, and grease. When I was searching around for the coil over parts and ideas, I saw the 5 lug Tacoma lift kit. With that kit, you notice the uppers have mono ball joints. Their angle is more lenient to the camber, from what i see, they don't have much of an angle the ball joint collar, even for like a 2/3" lift.

    That's because it's a uni-ball upper. The play in the ball is far greater than that of a regular ball joint. I think you got lost in translation here, I was referring to the cup of the ball joint in that previous pic. The cup itself is welded on at an angle so that the ball joint actually sits close to level at ride height.

    Omfg yes i did. The mono is cool and all but one its not going to give me much angle play, and 2, the stud is fairly long. I got them in the othet day and haf a little looky, wasnt happy so returning and getting reg. grease ball joints. I would recommend getting the Howe ball joints though, the angle play is more than enough.

    That or you can redo the math on the arms to compensate for the gm style bj collar (search SPC adjustable upper arms). This way you can use those pre angled upper ball joints i posted a link to.


    ....... REALLY wish i had a spot to Let my truck sit for a bit so i ca crunch numbers/ideas. Unfortunately, the spots i got atm are 1 day max and HAVE to finish same day :(

    UPDATE, FINALLY getting in ball joints. Wanted to get some Allstar ones, but GOT DAMN things is out of stock EVERYWHERE!!!! Will take a month minimum till they are restocked from what i was told at some spots. So I hit up Summit Racing for something similar/close to the Allstar ones. They should be here tomorrow no later than the end of the day :D
