    Thanks guys. :( He had lost half his weight (around 8 lbs), his teeth were rotting so he didn't eat, he wasn't absorbing the fluids the vets were giving him because his kidneys weren't functioning properly, and they found signs of cancer in the blood and urine. Decided the only thing we could do is end his suffering. We'll be burying him tonight.

    At least we got him out of the cage at the SPCA and gave him a home with a family for 5 years.

    Thanks. I'd like to think so too. He escaped our old apartment once shortly after we got him and was out for 2 days. I had to climb a tree to get in a second story window of the abandoned building he was hiding in. He ran away the first time so I went back with a can of cat food. :D Pulled it out of my bag as soon as he started to run away. He hesitated as I waved the can around. :laugh: Then came over after I took the lid off. He never showed any interest in going outside again for the next 5 years. I'd like to think he was happy. :)
