This could be good news to all who dislike a front license plate hanging off their bumper.

Bill SB 561 of the Texas Legislative Session 81 will amend the current plate law requiring only one plate at the rear of each vehicle. The bill is being sponsored by Mike Jackson, R-Pasadena.

If you would like to see this piece of legislation pass, please do you part and contact your local state Representatives to show your support! You can use the following link to figure out who your Representatives are, and obtain their contact information. http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/

More information pertaining to Bill SB 561 along with live updates of the bills current stage can be found at http://www.legis.state.tx.us/billlookup/History.aspx?LegSess=81R&Bill=SB561

Contact your Representative and show your support! This bill has been dragged to the ground by attached bills two times already, do your part to not let it happen again.

That would be nice. I can't stand the front plate I find it takes away from the look of a vehicle.

Yes sir, I feel the same way.

What I really cant stand is that if/when the front plate comes off, there will be two big ole' screw holes in the front bumper.

F the front plates... though I don't have them on my truck as it is still registered with tribal plates.

I guess I'm pretty much just used to it. It's been like that as far as I can remember. I don't even notice it unless someone points it out to me lol

However I don't think I wouldn't mind not having it, and even I might find out how much I like not having it once I take it off. Just like the above poster said I would have to do some repair from the screw holes and also where the plate has rubbed on the bumper.

I vote for no front plate either. I currently do not have one on the taco. And police use this as a reason to pull you over, as it happened to me twice actually, in other cars. So, if you do not have a front license plate and look suspicious or not, be prepared to get pulled over by an officer passing you in the opposite direction.

That's awesome! Yeah I hate the front license plate being on. It's useless. And I actually know Mike Jackson. I ate BBQ at his house once. I graduated a few years after his daughter from high school. Make sure Texans that you vote for him! He's actually a legitamite guy who's not a sleazeball politician!

We've never had them in NM.....most vehicles don't come with a bracket or anything.....I used to love to find kick ass front plates to put on.

I had this one on our 2000 Silverado back when I was a HUGE wrastlin fan!

Trust me, he's the real deal!
And I can't stand politicians. Usually politicians piss me off, but he actually cares. And he walks around in cowboy hat and boots most of the time, what other Texan politician does that? Haha
