I had a girlfriend refer to it as Mr Ed for a while. I was really flattered until I remembered that all the horses that played Mr Ed were Geldings...

But, she wasn't that bright of a girl, either, so she probably didn't know that. At least that's what I tell myself.

Ah, I must have missed that in the article.
So, if it's a hefeweizen, does that mean that for the best flavor you've got to have 6 of the beer jellies and one lemon jelly?

 

Haven't tried a hefenweisen with lemon before.

 

Brings out the flavors. Sebago Brewing does a hefeweizen during the summer that goes really good with a slice of lemon (and a slice of pizza on the side!)

 

You're missing out. Drop a lemon or an orange slice into a good hefenweisen and it gives the drink a really nice flavor.

 

I'll have to try it, but I never got into that whole lime and crappy beer thing.

 

I actually seen him wrestle at the old Gahden in the 80's a few times.

 

Definitely not the same. This is lemon or orange in really good beer to make it that much better and refreshing. It enhances the already great flavor instead of masking a shitty flavor.

 

A good hefeweizen with a slice of lemon or lime isn't like stuffing a lime into the neck on a bottle of Mexican piss labeled 'Corona'.
A slice of fruit into a hefeweizen enhances the citrusy notes that the beer already has, and brings out a lot of other flavors you wouldn't notice otherwise.
