I still do what I want. I just bought a new pair of skis and bindings today. My wife will find out when she comes home.

 

Know how to fix that? Don't get married, build badass trucks. The end.

 

Well I have a feeling we'll be broke for the first few years because of her college expenses. Plus she's in accounting so she'll obviously be taking care of our financial side of things.

She grew up with parents that make over $130,000 a year but don't spend it on anything. They pay cash for all their vehicles now and don't buy anything they don't need.

I grew up as to where if you have the money to afford it, then there's nothing wrong with buying it. You would think my parent made more than her's just based on what we have. Even though my parents only make about $80,000 combined.

 

Nah. Don't get me wrong I love modding my truck and my gf understands that. But I'd rather have a decent truck and beautiful wife than an awesome truck and nobody to spend my downtime with haha

this is exactly how i think. split bills and stuff. otherwise its whoevers choice. but we all know it realistically doesnt work this way.


hell mine got mad cause i bought the motorcycle when she wants a new car, then was mad that im getting rid of my car getting a brand new truck instead of her getting a new car. (she did get the house in her defense, but that was a lot of her wanting it instead of living at my moms/apartment)

Haha I guess I don't see the humor in it. I just saw it as an obvious fact.

 

The way the woman and I do it is we split the bills down the middle and both contribute an equal amount into a savings account. We also split groceries and other larger purchases that benefit both of us (things for the house, pet food/supplies, etc.). Anything left over is our own monies. Works pretty well that way. She just got a nice raise and is making more than me now...
