Pass. I'll just take the Captain on his own; He and I are old friends.

I picked up a Winter Classics Mixed Pack last week. I was hesitant about this one
    [IMG]

But DAMN, it was tasty. It went really good with the pot roast we were having that night.

Red Hook is brewed in NH, and they're pretty weird over that way.

I agree, I love the stuff and have been sailing countless times! I saw my coworker doing that and I yelled at him for disgracing the Capt. and he told me to try it before yelling at him. I have to admit, it was really good, taste just like cream soda.

Years ago at a dart match, someone spilled an almost full 24 oz glass of that stuff right near the line. Fkn things were all over the place and hard as ball bearings..fun time walking to the board after that.

My favorite beer these days is founders all day IPA, if you like IPAs you have to try it. Not overly bitter or hoppy but great taste.

Then why are you quoting Man Law on beer?!
    That's like criticizing a lesbian's technique...

Weird. If I get silly this summer when there's some of both around I'll have to try that.
Which Captain was it? Original spiced, silver spiced, private stock, etc...

Yuck... Reminds me not to take bar recipes from the non-drinker

Captain Original Spiced Rum. I don't like the silver rum but I'm definitely a fan of the private stock (although when it comes to dark rums, I tend to gravitate towards Meyers).

    Hell yes...
I knew I liked you. I use Meyers in the Hot Buttered Rums I've been drinking when I've come in from plowing this winter. And for Dark & Stormy's during the summer months.

Now you know I have been on their tour already ,

They are small enough that the "bottling parties" are paid by bartering ;),

Lunch and a bottle.....Again,my kind of place....20 minutes from the house :)

I made a big vat of buttered rum batter over Christmas and was using Capt. and Meyers (drinker's choice). The recipe called for butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and vanilla ice cream. You freeze it, spoon it into a mug, add your rum then fill with boiling water and stir. It's a great winter drink (if you want it, I can get the exact recipe).

Damn... lucky you! I wish we had distilleries up here that did that sort of thing. I've been through Harpoon and Sam Adams but it's not the same.

That was one from my drinking years in my 20's..not bad actually, but I could never drink more than a couple of those things regardless of plain or spiked. Heartburn in a bottle
