I would go with 4.10s if you have a stick. With my 4.56s my rpms are way to high @ 70+. Its marginally better offroad than 4.10s. I would consider a locker however. I would consider a crawl box before gears if your already getting good mileage.

 

I think he's a 4 cylinder though

Had those on my 96 1st gen. They were honestly very bad... A black housing with an ebay projector.

 

My buddy got some similar to those for Christmas. Not real projectors, the sides are open

 

That doesn't matter. The side of mine are open to. It's the shroud that makes it look enclosed.

 

But his have no shrouds. Just plastic pieces that go from the housing to the "projector"

 

I know, I've had those lights. But shrouds aren't needed. They're for looks more or less. I was just explaining that the sides being open doesn't matter. It's the quality of the projector.

 

That might make a difference. The thing to do would be drive around on the 4.10 diff the make decision.

 

Oh ok. I figured they were closed so the beam gets pushed through the projector and not dispursed

 

The other issue with those projectors is the fact that the bulbs still move to dictate the high and low beams.

Where true projectors use a cutoff shield.

 

I love those connectors. I buy the two and 4 terminal ones all the time.

I already have the front locker. The rear axle I am swapping in is a 99 prerunner with e-locker. So yeah, I will have both axles locked.

 

go with 4.56s thats what im running with 33s 2.7 and 5spd. running 3k @70 on highway and im getting about 19 highway

 

Finally mounted my resi's there not the ideal spot but the hoses are so long its really my only option for now, also working on the blinker to corner light relocation eventually

 

that was my initial plan but the hoses are a tad too short to get enough resi up there to get a good mount on it, do you mind me asking what length and weight springs you ran when you had MT, i got some used 13" 600# coils thinking they would be enough but theres a good amount of preload and not getting the 2.5" of lift im looking for
