I hadn't personally, but if that is what you are looking for, it would be a simple adjustment to make. Let me know what you decide. In my opinion it might get to the point where you will be dissatisfied with the look if you go too high.

 

I'm in for a double cab DIY kit with some kind of wind deflector.

 

I'll get the tape measure out tomorrow and check it out. I'm in for the side rail DIY in 1/4" aluminum.

 

I have a wind deflector figured out. It is already dark so I can't get pics up yet but I will post some images of the 3-D model I built of it so you guys can see how it works.

 

Did you want rails only or the full kit will cross bars as well?

 

I'm an East Coast guy, therefore I would want the rails only.

To all others following this thread, I have updated to OP with info on the the first batch of these to be produced.

 

Added some images from the model of the final product. This will be what gets produced for those ordering. Also all pricing and shipping information is updated except for shipping for a fully welded rack. I haven't had anyone ask for one fully assembled so I will figure out shipping on an individual basis with those people.

Do you have any pics of the actual wind deflector installed?

 

I welded mine on last night and the liner is drying now. I will get some pics of it off the truck but won't have any installed on the truck till tomorrow.

It was designed for all those guys I keep see jumping in the sand dunes.

 

I clamped it up there the other night when I was testing out different deflectors and it removed the noise completely. Less noise than I had with my factory roof rack or my other homebuilt one.
