Auto wash in general, those machines are horrible for paint. Underbody is just a pressure spray from the bottom

Maybe depending on the owner/ style of car wash. The touchless wash that I usually use is owned by a adjoining property owner/ friend, and is pretty efficient. It's run into a septic system and fairly closely monitored by the county. I may have the wool pulled over my eyes, but the stuff they use is apparently not to hurtfull to the environment which is a pretty big deal. Not to say that if it doesn't kill fish it won't hurt my paint.

True that's good! I'm hoping I can just go to a place and they'll just do the under wash but it didn't work like that last time. I should probably get the underbody shank for the pressure washer too

My forklift works pretty well. That's about the only reason I do itwith the pressure washer .

My Tacoma is good in the snow. It came with General highway tires, they did ok. I went on a run in the snow on F.S. roads with them reducing the pressure to 10 psi. It kept up with the big boys.

One of those tires took a fatal nail so now I have Toyos with real tread, it's even better.

I like to turn the stability control off in the snow. I don't really like the ABS in the snow I want to do a mod to disable it on demand.

4wd was made for snow, I always use it unless I'm fooling around.

Putting weight in the back reduces traction in 4wd because your truck weighs more. The heavy part wants to be in front so not having weight in the back should make it more controlable.

To sum up my experience I'm very happy with my Tacoma's performance in the snow even with highway tread M&S tires.

All I have done is put on a set of Goodyear Duratrac's,

its an all-terrain tire that is also snow rated.

Yeah how are those? I've read that they're too soft somewhere? All I know is the rugged trails need to go!

    Unknow
    Many
for more extreme winter and snow wheeling / driving nothing beats duratracs studded.
I lived for 2 years in saskatoon where the roads were covered in Ice and snow most of the winters start to finish. I never had any problems in 2wd. Im currently in alberta and running general grabber red letters and find I can't even leave my street in 2wd let alone make it out of my alley. I know they red letters are not for snow but its just for comparison purposes.
i had dedicated winters before i had the duratracs as well and those sucked compared to studded duratracs. Nothing worse than small little winter tires and u get stuck in the snow LOL

Saskatoon always reminds me of that scene in grown ups. However I can't run studded to much road lol. I'm between duratracs and BFG all-terrains. Or running all terrains and steelies with snow dedicated general altimax arctic

Just got my 1st Taco before Christmas. 2013 SR5 4x4. Rides nice in the snow. We've been getting a lot of it NY. I want a more beefier tire though. She came with Dunlop's.

I hate the dunlops, the only reason why I haven't gotten different tires is because I still have lots of tread on them ha ha. Cant justify the cost. I am looking at possibly getting a set of Fierce Attitudes. A guy I work with has some on his Tacoma, he loves em.

My 2007 Access Cab Taco has Cooper AT3's and they are decent in the snow (start and stop gently) I hardly had a need to switch to H4. My wife really liked leaving it in H4 for the winter. We live in snow belt, Georgian Bay.

My son drives that truck now in Toronto and loves them AT3's for the snowplowed roads of Moronto. :D

Right now on my 2010 DCSB V6, I'm running a set of Wrangler Duratracs and they are working well for the snow. Same deal; start slowly and brake gently!

The Duratracs are snow rated and that works for me. Yeah they are a bit noisy during the fall / winter. I'm really pleased with things. When the Duratracs wear out, I'm likely gonna buy another set of Cooper AT3's.

    Cheers all

    Just my two cents
Have run Hancook rws studded for two winters now
    LOVE THEM!

14-18 inches Soft deep snow at cabin, clears great
Freezing rain bs, great traction at highway speeds
    No hydro on wet

    LOVE The combo!

I put them on at 8000 miles and I just did a oil change / rotation at 54000.

    Still going strong.
