So I have a question for those of you who ate interested in a kit. For a switch, is there a preference of what type of switch you'd like? So many options that would work.

Really depends on where you want to place the switch.

Well any switch would work, I went the route "out of sight out of mind" and is in the pocket in the bed.

    General swagger and pizzazz.
If you need an another guinea pig, gimme a shout.

As for the switch, I'd prefer something that's as close to a flush mount as possible to be installed in the bed pocket and not interfere with what I'm already storing.

The cost for the first four is $40. If those are successful and they are happy I'll make more but will be raising the price a bit. Nothing crazy tho.

I like the idea of storing it in the bed pocket, if preferable, how about something waterproof?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
since switches and locations are such a personal preference, you may want to sell the kit w/o one and let them decide...just IMHO. for me, i already have one of the 09+ center console blank switches ready for bed lights. no worry about water proofing and no worrying about some stranger walking by and flipping switches.

Ya but the switch would be in your pocket in the bed. No one can see it anyways

IMO, too many options and personal preferences for the seller to make the switch decision for others who may want something else. I say make a switch of whatever type an additional cost to those who want one included. That way you don't waste money buying switches people don't want and you don't have to bump the price of the kit for those who don't want a switch with the kit.....like make it $5 cheaper without a switch. Like jhodge, I too have an 09 switch panel inside the truck with a switch just waiting to pwr the bed lighting so I would like a kit without a switch when we get beyond the testing phase.

Then I can do that. If people don't want I'll just lower the price without the switch in the kit.
