Yea, I dont know why people need to be reminded that 32 degrees is the freezing point of water, but hey, what do I know.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
It's a actually to remind you that roads can freeze above 32 degrees, specifically bridges.

it's like that lady who sued McDonald's because she spilled hot coffee on herself. they didn't TELL her it was hot when they gave it to her. I'm thinking it's the same premise here

You should do some research before you reference that story. Now that she is dead, the gag order on her is lifted and her family is speaking out. It was WAY hot, above the FDA recommended levels. The pictures of the burns she got, 2nd degree, are disturbing!!!!

After all was said and done, she settled for $500k, much less than the $2 mil the jury gave her. Which they based their number off of McD's earning from coffee alone in one day.

Originally, all she asked McD's for was to cover her medical bills, they said F off.

Edit: Or are referring to the LA lady that is suing them now? I don't know shit about that case, just heard about it today.

The McD case has been covered even on TW with attached pics and documentation about what temps the coffee should be and the continued use of scalding temps (even after they'd been notified by several means). Trust me, you won't find anyone who believes in personal responsibility more then me but, McD owed that poor women more than the negotiated settlement. Do a quick search and I'm betting you'll agree.

I didn't know it was that serious nor that it had already been discussed on this site. probably a bad reference then. "common sense" is the better filler here.

You say the coffee is WAY hot.. the 180* that the coffee was is the exact same as it is served now.. Starbucks serves coffee between 175-185, McDonald's between 175-194, and the average is 165-185. So the coffee back then is the same as it is now. Are you saying everybody that spills some coffee on themselves deserves 500k?

My business law class is talking about that lawsuit right now. You order coffee and you know it's hot, so you shouldn't get money for burning yourself. You can burn yourself from coffee you brewed yourself. You don't sue the coffee pot manufacturer for that.
