Yeah a new one might be the way to go depending on if you can find a good price locally.

I don't know if anyone drives into downtown on Lincoln, but I got to put the truck to work today. There were several cars that were just spinning their tires after I turned onto Lincoln from Spear when Lincoln becomes a hill. Blocking all 4 lanes of traffic. Managed to wiggle my way up and pull a car up the hill to open up one lane and get traffic moving. I thought about turning around to take another lap, but wasn't sure I'd even be able to get back to where I needed to be, and figured I had fulfilled my civil duty at that point.

I just put on Michelin LTX M/S 2 tires, and I pull the 100% tractionless Mini without any hesitation. That was my first time trying to tow another vehicle, and the truck operated like a champion!

Yea it was great, I could have basically idled up the hill, no problem at all. I put it in 4lo just in case, but I really don't think I needed it. Now I'm sitting at my desk as a programmer and just want to get back on the road and keep rescuing cars!

I would just like everyone to please take note of the tire choice here and the indisputable results.

No take those tires and a foot of snow and your results will change. ;) but the tires I have will be fine in both conditions. :D

Anyone up for doing a meet/greet in Feb sometime? We have quite a few new members here, so I was thinking we should do one.

I'm in, but I live in the springs so it couldn't be too early on a weekend and I go to school in Lakewood during the week so after 4 PM during the week would be great.

Haha, I'm not going to claim they're the best, but they're pretty darn good. I used to run studded snows on my old Jeep XJ that would tear through whatever was ahead of it. But like the old saying goes "if you can't be with the one you love honey, love the one you live." And of course, everyone knows that that song is referring to tires.

    Anyway, they work for me!

For on road application they are one of the top selling tires. I had them on my runner before I lifted it. I was not saying they are bad.
