depends what time my convoy can leave town on friday night

 

i think it would be sweet to convoy up with you guys when we go down though depending on how the cummins is running by then it may be a very slow trip for me.

 

im fine with slow hahahah I drive a big boat anchor anyways , though im going to go look at a 12V swapped tundra on days off, YUP a second gen tundra with a cummins hahahahaha

as a tow rig or a wheeling rig or both??

 

not 100% sure, im kinda keeping my eyes open atm for a 12V tow rig, I am waiting as well to see what the new diesel titan is like

I need a truck, the lexus is great for wheeling and overlanding, but no truck box really really limits me

 

ive even considered picking up an older motorhome and dropping a 6BT in hahahaha

but still doesnt fix my lack of a truck box

 

FYI a 6BT is a 5.9L cummins..

 

I very much know

I want a 4BT in the lexus, id love a 6BT but I dont want to have to switch everything in the truck, axles, suspension and so on

 

I haven't even thought of what trails to do this year..... Last two years I had them planned out months before the trip. I have no idea this time

 

so what speed where you thinking of cruising at?? 65 will probably be my max the way the truck is running at the moment.

 

65 dont bother me hahaha, its the speed limit for the most part around here

 

We're usually pretty slow going too lol

 

if i get my dodge running the way i want ill probably do 65 just the same
unless i need to show boat while pulling 12K then ill kick it up to 80 but i dont see me getting good millage at that speed.

 

if i put my cummins to the floor the lowest ive ever gotten on the free way was 7mpg. so i ask what the hell gets 3mpg??

edit this is towing a gooseneck with my taco on it.

 

must be a gas motor home then.. get the newer class A's with pusher 400horse cummins motors in them its a house on wheels that could pull a house without wheels..

 

if its new then it's gotta be like 10mpg
