I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Mine are complete Bling so it don't compare to building a junk yard 60 really.
Just over 10,000 for my front and rear axles. SpiderTrax and Diamond housings 35 spline Chromoly shafts ARB's front and rear Strange 3rd's & Serra Gears, Ford F450 one ton unit bearings bored for 35 spline shafts. The front ran about 6,000 and the rear around 4,000

Been on the hunt for a hilux R150 as it has the passenger drop and will bolt to the RZ housing. Also have the write-up to twin stick the transfer if I dont find one already sticked. tyring to find one under 400 with the transfer is a pain in the ass.

I saw one at pirate for sale from Oregon last week. It was a 3.4L attached to a r150f for 600 bucks  which is the combo I have in my crawler :D

WHA WHAT?!?!?!?!?! I paid 600 hundo for my 2RZ  Still needs quite a bit to be in running shape. Hunting the trans and transfer first though so I can figure out my link situations and then build my cage around that which will then tell me where I can mount the tedious engine bay shiz that I still need to acquire.

Just go with a stock width axle. Imagine breaking a shaft and needing to order a new custom length one.

Gear driving cases are relatively easy to acquire. R150F transmissions, not so much.

I was having problems with first gear popping out while under moderate loads. So I ordered a shifter ball seal and socket from Marlin Crawler and installed them over the weekend. No more problems and the shifter feels solid.

Yeah finding a complete is a pain. Found one that was already sticked for 900 :(

All this talk about width.... think I might have over achieved.

Just the norm skids, sliders, & 35's

Depending on the setup the inner shaft is not the weak point. The hubs and stub shaft are going to be your breaking point. Plus you can play with factory shafts from other 60s to get the width down without using custom shafts.

I bought a lot parts second hand on Pirate so it would of been a lot more if I bought everything new. And i just looked at my cost spread sheet and i spent $12,729.45 on my axles so my first post was a little off

Just tallied up the estimated cost for my front axle and it's gonna be ~ $5000+. At that point, I should just gone the extra distance and bought a built Currie Rock Jock haha (~$7300 IIRC?)

for that price you could buy this and motor swap for the 2rz and still come out ahead.

I never liked buying something already 'built' like that, because I'm guaranteed to want to change things on it.

Yeah, but you already have something built, marlin axles, twin transfers, shits already there. All you have to do is add a bit. Plus its a secondary vehicle....if you dont already have one. But I hear you.
