When I engage the front locker, it becomes very hard to steer. I was amazed by the amount of steering effort required. I can't imaging only having a front locker. The rear locker is so useful and easy to use and only minimally impacts steering.

 good info there Mike! There's probably a reason toyota puts an e locker in the rear of the trd offroad and not just the front...

This is definitely true! My steering pump hates my front locker.

I just read your post Hagen, and I think it makes no sense to lock the front and not the rear. Like Mike said you can pretty much lock your rear and just forget about it. Plenty of guys DD welded rear ends. You can't do that with the front locker. I typically just lock my rear locker when I hit the trail and I flip the front off and on as I need it.

As for breaking a CV, it is next to impossible to break one without a front locker, though it can happen. You increase your chances of breaking one greatly with a front locker.

This is also very true! In Moab a couple years ago, RockGecko couldn't squeeze though these two rocks so they tried to take him above them and he couldn't get up above them due to lack of just a rear locker even. So we spent a good half hour squeezing him between the two rocks and it ended up being successful.

It's still kind of a toss up, because with the armor you can just smash into things and not care.

That I do. It is also tightened up a bit for better clearance since it wasn't built for putting a winch in it.

Best pic I could find at the moment...

    You use frames???

Shame on you. bad idea there. My teacher hates them. You can create loop holes that are very bad.

Rear locker dude. It'll be WAY WAY more useful then a front. Especially with how you drive. You probably won't even need it much but would be nice to have.

Front for you would not be worth the money and a front only would just be down right dumb.

A rear bumper and a front winch setup will be more then enough for you.

haha, no. We go in and look at some of the blueprints for how they code things out for ideas. I agree with you on copy pasting, bad idea!

I really like the moab 2.0 too Gage, really nice in person, seen a few on tacomas while at their shop. I'm trying to decide between that and a pelfrey...

you got 1400 bucks for your lil $700 tent?? wtf?? haha

i like how its diamond plate floor..

other then that..i seen no need to change out if your happy. But buying that tent wouldn't be fraud. Your replacing your tent..thats what it is for.

Id get a cheaper tent if you 1400 to spend, like the Bachelor or the normal Kukenam. Put the extra money towards gears.
