I doubt that. They are running Backstrom-Grabovski-Laich right now and it seems pretty good. Johansson is also putting up points on the wing when hes a natural C. They need a goalie if anything

 

Andrew Mcdonald (knew him a bit growing up) is going to be traded next I think. People are saying he wants 5 mil per and out of NY. Hes a good pickup for a team

 

From everything I've read living here in TN the fans are starting to chatter a bit for Trotz's head...his system has always been D first and he's the one telling Poile to go after defensive minded players. Maybe they're going to sign some offensive minded UFA's but I doubt it. They passed on Mikhail Grabovski when he was on waivers which would have been an instant upgrade at C. That's the way Trotz and Poile roll in Nashville though...more boring hockey and first round playoff losses i s'pose

 

Defense should always come first IMO. The best forwards in the game are two way players. Strong defense wins championships.

Speaking of the Toilerts , as much as I think Andrew Ference is a douchebag , I couldn't help but wonder what he and Perron are thinking now about their moves to the Toilerts

I am sure they would rather be with better teams. Ferret already has a cup but Perron's old club is so close to winning they can taste it. He has to be choked about his circumstance.

Nashville doesn't have two way players up front though...they have a bunch of marginal forwards that play good defense but can't score goals. Like I said, outside of Fischer and Hornqvist, there's not much offensive talent. Maybe Forsberg, Smith, and Wilson get their poop together and start scoring but until then Nashville will be a first round playoff exit team at best.

 

Clearly they figure MDZ will help get more out of there current attack.

Ya I cant believe so many team passed on torontos idiot mistake. Grabovski is more then just a scorer, he always has the puck, and always makes plays out of nothing. His 5.5 mil would be a joke next year when the cap is 71+

 

well Ference is probably chilling not giving a fuck because he cashed in. Perron is probably waiting to be a UFA like a kid at christmas eve

 

Leafs trade CRESCENZI to LA for Kozun. Most likely to get more scoring because they will waive Mclaren and keep Ashton up
