Wheel hexe's lock the wheel on the axle so they turn as unit. Hex slides over a pin that goes through the axle shaft then the wheel has a female hex that fits that. Am i missing something here?

built a new steering setup, similar to hunter's this evening. had some Axial links laying around, so I cut them down, rethreaded them, and tossed an aluminum serve horn on. local shop only had the two sided one though, so I have a single coming in the mail. gotta get two more spare links to overhaul the rear steering in the same manner.

Edit: Also flipped the servo to get the horn right over the center of the axle.

I know the photos are at different angles, but here's a comparison of the old vs new

When you buy vanquish you buy the name, its top notch products but very pricey.. Links you can definitely do just as good much cheaper tho.

Dont worry about the uppers, they are never touched. Just get some 1/4" brakeline tubingfrom the auto parts store, some Revo rod ends and some 8/32" all thread from lowe's. Have to clearance the the trans/motor plate just a hair with a Dremel or a file. Pic of mine a few pages back. Switch every thing over to metal ball ends.

Picked up a Thunder T680 DC charger today and a couple of Hobbyking zippy 5200mah 30c batteries from a guy on Craigslist. There 2s and he only uses 3s. Now i just have to figure out a cheap way to convert AC to DC to be able to charge in the house.

Aligator clips on to a 12v battery is how it's set up now. Which is great for in the field, but i am going to look into a comverter. For such a hi tech charger it will run set up pretty primitive like.

i have the traxxas ez peak plus for one of my chargers. gator clips and AC plug. seems to be a pretty decent charger. much more adjustable/more options than some of my other chargers.

Yea but it will be nice to have to charge out in the sticks. I just have to get a power source to plug into the wall.

I was at the local rc shop doing their rock crawling course. Motor was working hard. Let off almost a burnt smell. I like the speed of the wraith but want it to crawl.

Got some stuff for my wraith [IMG] Also got some stuff for my 1/8 max stone but still waiting on some parts..

Axial BFGoodrich r35 compound tires, axial beadlocks with gearhead rings, gmade xd piggyback shocks 103mm, ckrc lowering kit, some vanquish stuff, axial machine screws and aluminum wheel hex's.

Was gonna swap over my stuff from the ridgecrest but decided to keep it and build the wraith on its own

I have a set of pit bulls already, the stock poison spyder tires I like but wanted more grip so I figured id give the r35 compound a shot.

just has no give so tons of traction/grip. with beadlocks you can keep some air in the tire so its not dead flat but it leaks out over time. Id like to run the gmade air beadlocks but couldn't find any in stock so I went with some axial cheapos for now.
