    There are a lot of campgrounds in the park but there are also lots of campers and things fill up quickly. If you want to camp in Yelly then yes, I would get reservations. If you're fine with roughing it, out on your own, outside of the park there are some options there too that aren't as crowded. I usually wing it and I've never really had a problem getting a camp site, this last summer I came close to not getting a site in the park once. But I know the surrounding area pretty well so I don't sweat it, I know I can find somewhere to set up for a night or two.
