Batteries are about the same volume as a small redbull can, just shorter and fatter. on the highest output setting, you're looking at a 2 hour run time, which is better than the comparable niterider and cateye setups.

the two lights, a helmet mount (they only come equipped for bar mounting), and a head strap (for camping), ran me $305 shipped.
not bad at all, since the single 1800 lumen from niterider i was looking at was $270.

I'm actually going to test out the lights tonight at anthills after work. gonne be a cold one though!

    The setup
the 2000 lumen (flood) on the right will go on my handlebars, with the battery on the frame. the 870 lumen (spot) on the left will go on my helmet, with the battery in my camelback.

and for scale, the batteries next to an iphone 5s in an otterbox.

I took the dog for a walk and ended up parking by Summit Bicycles in Los Gatos today. Since I hadn't been in there for a while, I dropped by on the way back to the car. They have a bunch of Santa Cruz bikes in their demo fleet. Including a Bronson. The model on the floor had a $6200 price tag on it though

For a full carbon rig, that's about right. Sick bike though. Worth every penny.

I want to ride it. I've never ridden a carbon mtb and to be honest, it scares the crap out of me. It shouldn't, I know. But it does :D

there was one at SBC but I think they ordered it for someone since they dont usually carry Santa Cruz stuff. I dont remember exactly but they definitely had it because they had just built it up and let me sit on it. :D I was too afraid to ride it around haha

Hey guys, on my Bronson order I went with a 1x10 system with a Wolf Tooth narrow wide front chain ring. I also am gonna have a chain guide put on it, but I have reading that people who run the narrow wide front ring dont even need a chainguide because they arnt dropping chains? Should I ditch the chain guide?

If you're going to banging in the rocks you will still need a guide. Cheap insurance. You can always take it off and try it without and if you have issues just put it back on.
