It's not new, it's not Mexico
Anyone can drive a manual too. It's not a special skill that only the chosen few can master.

    None, except wheels.
Unfortunately the manuel is going the way of the dinosaurs, but What makes the Taco unique among trucks, is the availability of the manuel. It will be sad day when you can no longer get a stick!

Anyone can learn to operate one, but only a few will ever master it. I've taught a few to drive them and once in a while people will really get it, mostly they don't. I have known people who've been driving stick for years that still don't get it. Why I said it's a good and bad thing; well that article showed exactly why it's good that people can't drive them, built in anti-theft, the bad is if you need someone to drive it for you. It's like riding a motorcycle; anyone can learn, few will master...some will quite before being killed or severely injured.

Manual, but hey, we see MUCH worse spelling and grammar than yours and from people who think they're doing it right.

I have a 6 speed but the TO bearing issue is utter BS. Made me lose a lot of faith in Toyota as far as their ability to engineer long-lasting utility vehicles. How do you screw up a manual trans?

I find it difficult to text when driving a manual.

Typically the manuals only come in the most basic configurations for the most part now. Like I couldnt find a manual in the double cab 4x4 v6 configuration when I got my truck.

I found a manual DCSB V6 4x4, but it was a serious PITA. None were in my 3 state region so I had to drive a ways to a dealer who had it driven from somewhere else. Definitely not the way to get a good deal on a truck. I paid sticker+.

They made a 300-ish mile trip to do a dealer swap for me on a tricked out (except no floormats, of all things) '14 TRD OR DCSB with a stick, and I was at $30.5 on a list at $33.5 iirc. Depends on how much I could have sold my likewise tricked out '04 TRD trade for (you don't pay sales tax on the trade value, so that's also an 8.5% discount on tax bill), but I drove it for 4.5 years and got to $1.5k of what I paid in trade value.

Nothing doesn't depreciate like a Taco, and that's one double negative that made me positively smile twice!

it's pretty simple really: if you are gay then you drive an auto. If you are a lover of vag, and hence a real man, then you drive a the stick. It's as simple as that. And paddle shifters aren't autos either...
