All you have is the OME 886 springs right, how much lift did it give you with the front bumper and winch on it and how much did it settle and take to settle. I keep going back and forth between Icons or the OME kit?

 

This was right after I put the new springs on. I'll measure tonight to see how much they've settled.

Went out and measured last night. After 10 months of having the lift on not much has changed. My original measurements were taken prior to cutting the fenders so that's why there is the 2" increase. Looks like the back has dropped a little which I'm sure is partly due to having a 315 spare on a rack in the back and a wee bit of snow.

Current lift specs:

DF 24 1/2"
DR 26 1/4"
PF 24 3/4"
PR 26 1/4"

 

Took DV road to Loyalton yesterday. We thought my brother might be able to make it on his duel sport since we haven't gotten much snow this year. Didn't work out due to some north facing parts of the road being a sheet of ice and uphill. He parked the bike and hopped in with me. It was a mellow ride but fun nonetheless.

 

Hey Matt, with your flares, you used plastic clips to put them back on with? I've noticed my clips are not seating that well and keep popping out. I've decided just start using zip ties to hold them on. They feel much more secure that way....

 

Yeah, plastic clips for the middle part. I have the same issue with them so I use some pliers to pull them through and then wiggle them till they lock in. It seems like some of them work better than others so I just grab new ones until I get one that locks good. On the ends of the flares I use zip ties to make sure they stay snug against the truck.

 

Yea good idea. I tried using pliers but some of the mounts are stretched and the flimsy plastic is not letting me get them to seat fully. I was able to get some of them seated so the ones that are mashed in needless to say aren't holding very well. My front passenger flare has almost ripped off twice on the highway now because of the clips and partially due to the reglued mounts. (that was my fault tho since I was so rammy taking the flares off in the first place... ) Now that I've zip tied the whole flare on I don't think it'll come off again. Nice pics btw, we need to see more!

 

Yeah. I f'd almost all my mounts too. I went through and put a heavy dose of JB weld on them last time I had them off and it seems to be holding up way better than before. Zip ties aren't going anywhere though

Agreed on the pictures, hopefully I can get out this weekend but I have to replace the water pump on the Camry we are getting ready to sell before the Mrs. will let me go

I looked at those led lights again. The only thing it has on it is 151 between some of the lights. Nothing else though.

so those shock extenders you put on are supposed to give you a little more droop from the rear correct?

 

Correct. They actually worked out really well. Spent like $15 bucks instead of getting new shocks.

Nathan, did you find extenders that work with the OME shocks? Or did you buy 5100s?
