Problem: It was very cold this morning, and as I increased the speed/RPM, a strange clicking sound began behind my steering wheel. I drove back home and parked it, and when I turned off the engine, the key would not come out of the switch and I cannot change gears. Also, when I start the engine, the steering wheel turns completely 360 degrees. Anybody out there have any ideas??

Think your truck needs an exorcism. ..... not a mechanic...

On a serious note.... how cold was cold and did you give it enough Time warming up?

Im thinking its something to do with power stearing.

Temps were probably aroun 10 F. I probably did not warm it up enough, but why, I wonder, will it not shift out of Park?

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Check "brake" fuse isn't blown.

There is a parking-neutral indicator-switch thingee on the side of the transmission. That could be mal-functioning, and telling the computer the wrong information. Verify that the plug is still attached.
