I'm going to abuse the senior citizen discount when I get to that age . I tried asking for the mid life crisis discount the other day but my dunks girl said I wasn't fucked up enough .

So when I swapped wheels, I literally had to (carefully!) beat the rear ones off with a sledgehammer. Does anyone do something special to prevent them from getting stuck to the hubs?

 

Neverseize. I have the techs put some on any part of the hub that contacts the wheel every few rotations.
Do you have aluminum wheels? If it's cold enough out I've seen aluminum shrink/fuse itself onto the hubs and won't come off for anything until it warms up enough to release.

 

No. It's not normally accepted to beat off in public, but in this case you're OK.

 

I give lessons on the subject. As the master of it I feel I should share with the youngsters!

x2, I gob my wheels with neverseize where they contact the hub at every tire rotation. Never had a problem getting them off.
