I'm getting pissed off with Windows 7 Photo Viewer.

I need some program to help organize all my photos.

I've been using Picassa, but haven't really liked it enough to understand what all it can do.

All I use it for is basically to import all my pics from my computer into it, then let it do my backups to my external drive. I just recently used it to find all the duplicate pic files on my hard drive and it worked ok for that. But beyond that, I have no clue of its potential.

I organize my pics in folders like "2013" Inside that folder i'll have mini files labeled "4-12-13" and have all the pics from the day in that file. Then i might break down the pics inside that folder to mini folders labeled "Boat Pics" and "Car Pics" or whatever the subject of the shoot was that time.

I would love a program that could organize the pics by date taken and sort of batch organize them in folders based on that. It would be awesome if I could do backups with the same software as well. No editing is needed with this software, I have Photoshop for that. I just need something simple and easy to organize and backup all my pics.

Maybe i'm asking too much. I wouldnt mind if I had to one program to batch the files into folders, then another program to organize them all. Maybe I could still keep Picassa for backups and find some other program to batch all the pics....I dont know.

    Any options? Free is best...:)

    Google software called

Data Max Manager. It has a folder layout and renaming setup in it, works wonders for me at my Job. We have used it on over 70k images so far. About 600 a day.
