What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Yeah the numbers are the size of the led....the 5050 are 5.0 x 5.0 and so on.

 

Installed a Rancho 2.5" suspension lift kit.

That's basically exactly what mine will look like lifted (minus the cab configuration). Perfect!

 

Replaced a couple of switch bulbs that had burned out with NEO3-xHP LEDs from Superbrightleds.com. They take a little finessing to fit but not a big deal.

Knocked the frozen brown icy sludge of the license plate to see if it was my truck...it was....replacing license plate light housing this weekend...

 

They're on my build page too somewhere back. He's right though-
It's really easy to do and I got my whole bed & under hood lights done for about 15 bucks on eBay. Or you can pay someone on here 100+ for it- which honestly is worth the labor if you don't have a proper solder iron, spare switches or ability to cut & solder that strip on your own. It's a pain in the ass like soldering headphone wires.

I've done three sets of em now all using the waterproof 5050 strips. Use 3m's heavy duty double sided tape and you'll never have to worry about it.

I did this to my tailgate with the load thats on the top of the canopy:

 

Installed new Wet Okoles charcoal grey w/ light grey piping

 

Installed 50'' on the roof

That sharp! The Black Baja wheels look really good on that rig too, nicely done!

 

I have one of those tailgate reinforcement plates, but I am trying to decide if that would help or not... It looks like the cause was the cables that hold the tailgate flat. The mounts for them bent and let the tailgate drop into the bumper. That or the actual hinges the tailgate pivots on bent. Neither of those are really reinforced with the top plate.
