    its not horrible..but not easy. it is definitely difficult haha but if you have the time its not too bad. Not impossible thats for sure.

    I would add if you don't have a buddy to work with you, taking the doors off would help so you can get your hand around the back side to hold the hand anvil to hammer the new metal into place good.

    yea me too really. i forgot to measure the frame after it :facepalm: but i did before so when i get home ill be able to know now much that has improved.


    haha! yea i can tell you once i saw these on Jon rig in person right after getting 33s...i was like...shit..haha need 35s now..haha

    Hey I got a quick question for you. So im looking to beef up my electrical system. And since you can basically recreate the sun with all the lights on your truck, i figured id copy you. I want to run a simliar setup anways. I was looking at optima batterys, and the red top is about 30 dollars less expensive. Is there any reason you went with the yellow top over the red top?

    A Redtop is not a deep cycle battery.

    A yellow top is.


    Basically that means the yellowtop can loose almost all of its charge completely and be full recharged without any effects.

    A non deep cycle does not like to do that. If it happens a lot to it, it'll loose all of its ability to hold a good charge at all.

    So my secondary is a deep cycle so i can run it into the ground basically and not worry. The Starter is a red top no deep as its always hooked to the alternator so its always being charged.

    just went with a yellow top today :D mainly because my redtop stopped holding a charge and i took it in under warranty and then upgraded to a yellow for $40 but i did kill my red top about 4 times in 3 days because my alt wasnt charging right

    No, you want a starter battery for your main battery as that will be it's job.

    Yeah I dont see a need to have two deep cycle bats, but being that im only running a single right now I figured the deep cycle is the better option, it has 200 less CCA but my truck fires up quicker now. Weird but im not complaining

    Yea usually the Redtop will hav emore cranking amps, at least a stock size replacement. A yellowtop will work though of course.
